Ocmulgee River Run

TBD

Blackwater Paddle Club is proud to announce another beginner-level trip: The Ocmulgee River Run!  Due to popular demand we have developed a shorter trip to appeal to a broader audience.  We will launch at Half Moon Landing in Abbeville, GA at 10:00am-sharp and extract at Mobley's Bluff Landing in Jacksonville, GA around noon paddling a total of 41 miles over the course of three days.  Based on these calculations we will budget to paddle a minimum number of 14 miles each day.  For your convenience we plan to have several means to transport kayaks & gear to the river.  Please review the attached maps, landing key, and river guide for more information.

Oconee River (2nd Half)

November 6-10, 2019

Blackwater Paddle Club is proud to announce an upcoming expedition: The Oconee River.  The river begins in Milledgeville, GA and converges with the Ocmulgee River to form the Altamaha River near Uvalda, GA.  We will launch in Dublin, GA and extract in Uvalda, GA paddling a total of 80 miles over the course of several days (TBD).  Based on these calculations we will budget to paddle a minimum number of miles each day.  Although the trip may be completed quicker, we generally strive to accrue enough miles daily to enjoy at least one full day of camping for rest, leisure, and any unforseen weather delays.  For your convenience we plan to have several means to transport kayaks & gear to the river.  Please review the attached maps, landing key, and river guide for more information.
