Oconee River Run

October 28-30, 2022

Blackwater Paddle Club is proud to announce another beginner-level-trip: The Oconee River Run!  Due to popular demand we have developed a shorter trip to appeal to a broader audience.  We will launch at Sportsman's Club Landing near Dublin, GA at 0900hrs-sharp and extract at Highway 280 Bridge Landing near Mt. Vernon, GA around 1400hrs paddling a total of 42 miles over the course of three days.  Based on these calculations we will budget to paddle a minimum number of 14 miles each day.  For your convenience we plan to have several means to transport kayaks & gear to the river.  Please review the attached maps, landing key, and river guide for more information.

Altamaha River Expedition

TBD

Blackwater Paddle Club is proud to announce an upcoming expedition: The Altamaha River.  The river begins at the confluence of the Ocmulgee and Oconee Rivers near Uvalda, GA.  This trip comprises 102 miles of the river as it ends just before the rivers turns brackish.  As such, we will launch in Uvalda, GA and extract from Sterling, GA paddling 102 miles over the course of six days.  Based on these calculations we will budget to paddle a required number of miles each day to afford one full day of camping for rest, leisure, and any unforeseen weather delays.  For your convenience we plan to have several means to transport kayaks & gear to the river.  Please review the attached maps, landing key, and river guide for more information.
